Mrs. Phelan's Letter to the Class of 2025

Dear Class of 2025,

As I sit down to write this farewell letter to you, I am deeply moved and filled with emotion. It's a challenge to encapsulate all that we have experienced together over these six transformative years. You began your journey under what seemed like typical circumstances, only to face some of the most unpredictable times ahead.

No one could have foreseen the twists and turns that lay in our path. You endured the trials of the COVID, displaying resilience far beyond what should be expected. But that was just the beginning. We navigated the challenges of moving our school to two different locations over two years, only to return once more — an experience that could have easily taken its toll on us. Instead, it gave us strength and adaptability.

From necessity, you have developed adaptive skills. You have learned to be flexible, to embrace the present, and to take each day as it comes, recognizing that there is not just one fixed path in life. Your ability to adjust and thrive amidst uncertainty is truly amazing, and I am proud of the individuals you are becoming.

The conversations we have shared, whether in small groups or one-on-one, have been a great source of joy and learning for me. Through you, I have gained insights into your remarkable generation and witnessed firsthand how the world is evolving in your hands. You possess an infinite array of tools and technologies at your disposal — tools that can empower you. Yet, I urge you to always remember the enduring value of face-to-face interactions and genuine human connections. Make time to engage with your friends and family in person, cherishing those moments without the mediation of a device.

As you stand on the brink of new adventures, know that you carry my love, admiration, and heartfelt wishes for your success. You have already achieved so much, and I have no doubt that you will continue to make a positive impact on the world.

With deep gratitude and affection,
Mrs. Phelan
