Join the English Learner Parent Advisory Council!

Learn about the proposal we made to the Superintendent to support newly arrived English Learners!
Students can get community service hours and meet newly arrived students who speak their language.

Student ambassadors will

  • give a tour of the school
  • introduce the new student to important people in the building
  • eat lunch with the new student
  • be available to answer questions for the first month a student joins the Watertown Public Schools

We will be working on creating our handbook for student ambassadors. We look forward to meeting you and hearing about more ideas we can implement so we can improve English Learner education in Watertown.

This is our last meeting of the year! We will also check in about a kick off event in August as well as learning more about being a family ambassador.
